Quartette Trés Bien - Voo Doo Man

Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, the Quartette Trés Bien released several notable albums on the Decca label in the 1960's. Their best known hits were "Boss Trés Bien" and "Kilimanjaro".

Looks like this 45 came out in the very early '70's, following their stint with Decca.

In more recent years, Quartette leader and pianist Jeter Thompson formed another jazz combo with his brothers, Harold and Howard, performing together as The Trio Trés Bien.

I dig the sound of Jeter's funky electric piano on this track, and you gotta love what sounds like squeaky toys mixed in with the bird calls and other jungle noise effects...
